Holyoke Catholic inducts 10 into Athletic Hall of Fame

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke Catholic High School held a Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday night. It was held at the Castle of Knights on Memorial Drive in Chicopee.

After their dinner, 10 Holyoke Catholic High School alums were inducted into the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame. They were each given a plaque and got to share stories of their days playing sports or coaching.

Jill Gagne coached the cheerleaders at Holyoke Catholic High School for 14 years. She told 22News it’s a sport she’s passionate about.

Gagne said, “I think of all of the amazing coaches that Holyoke Catholic has had. It’s pretty humbling to find yourself inducted into a Hall of Fame with people of the caliber who have coached at the school before me.”

Gagne now coaches cheerleading in South Hadley.

This was Holyoke Catholic High School’s fifth-annual Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame induction.
