3 arrested in Holyoke on gun charges

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Three men were arrested in Holyoke for having illegal guns. That’s according to the Holyoke Police Department.

Holyoke Police Lt. Jim Albert told 22News they arrested 22 year old Joshua Cotto of Springfield, 22 year old Jonathan Figueroa, and his brother, 23 year old Ulises Figueroa.

Police say they found one of the men in front of 979 Dwight Street with a handgun in his waistband. It had the serial number scratched off. Police then searched the home and found another allegedly unlicensed gun, along with more than $1,000 in counterfeit money.

The men were arraigned in Holyoke District Court on Friday.
