Learn to Make Kafta

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) In Lebanese cuisine, Kafka is one of the most popular dishes and Marie-Reine Raheb and John Ackoury from St.Anthony church are here to tell us how to make it and about the upcoming Lebanese Festival.

Kafta:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 bunch of parsley washed and finely chopped
  • 2 large onions finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • zest of one lemon
  • 1tbsp allspice
  • 1tbsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • salt to taste
  • Mix all the ingredients well together. shape it into 2 inches balls, than spread each ball on a wooden skewer about 6 inches long. put them on the grill to cook through or until lightly browned.
