Pedestrian struck, killed by car in Enfield

ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) – Police in Enfield, Connecticut are looking into what caused a crash Monday night on Route 190, which killed a pedestrian.

According to a news release sent to 22News by Enfield police, around 8:10 P.M., a car that was traveling westbound on Route 190 (Hazard Avenue) hit the pedestrian. The accident happened in the Hazardville section of town, near the corner of Cooper Street.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance, but she did not survive.

Other than her gender, no information about the victim has been made available at this time. Police also have not released any information about the driver, or whether any citations are being issued.
