Bear returns to woods after appearance near Ludlow parade route

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Ludlow Police say a bear that was spotted near the start of the Memorial Day Parade has made its way back into woods.

Ludlow Police Sgt. Frank Nowak told 22News the bear was spotted around 7:30 Monday morning behind the HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center on Chestnut Place.  The parade was set to step off about 90 minutes later on Windsor Street, a short distance away.
