Driver in Ludlow car vs. house identified

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – New information Sunday night on the driver who crashed a car into a home in Ludlow.

Ludlow Police Sgt. Daniel Valadas told 22News the driver is 22 year old Miguel Rivera of Holyoke. He’ll be summoned to court on charges of operating on a suspended license, speeding, and other charges.

Rivera hit the home on Holyoke Street so hard, it collapsed a main support beam in the basement foundation of the home. The family of eight who lived there are temporarily homeless.

One woman who lives in the neighborhood told 22News it isn’t the first time a car crashed in that area.
