NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – On Thursday, the Northampton Senior Center played host to a health and safety fair.
There were more than 60 exhibitors at this health and safety expo. This was the 12th annual fair. It’s one of the Senior Center’s largest organized community events. Booths were set up that gave information on everything from hearing aids to home nursing care.
Some of the seniors shared with 22N ews why they came.
Gloria Parker of Northampton said, “Age-wise I’d like to know how to take care of myself; medicines and everything that might help me live a longer life.”
“Well all the facilities that the seniors would like to have, actually,” said Josephine Loiacono of Northampton.
A big bus was also parked outside the Senior Center offering free health screenings.
The expo was free to senior citizens, their families and the whole community.
