BOSTON (AP) — Boston police moved quickly to locate a suspect in connection with a deadly daylight shooting in the city.
A man in his 20s was shot in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital where he died.
Police say they identified another man as a suspect and brought him to the police station Wednesday night for questioning, but there was no word on whether he had been charged.
Mayor Martin Walsh says the shooting appears to have been part of a gang dispute. It was the city’s 23rd homicide of the year.
