Man’s leg stuck in forklift at Friendly’s H.Q.

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Firefighters from Wilbraham and Springfield worked to rescue a worker whose leg became entangled in a forklift at the Friendly’s plant on Boston Road Wednesday afternoon.

Wilbraham Fire Capt. Thomas Shaw told 22News that a fork truck had backed over the employee, and that caused the man’s leg to become stuck.

The Springfield Fire Department Rescue Squad was called in to help get the man out, which Shaw says took quite a while.

The worker was taken to Baystate Medical Center, though his condition is not known at this time.
