Holyoke Mayor’s car will now have a city seal

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Holyoke City Council voted Tuesday night to adopt an order to place a city seal on Mayor Alex Morse’s car.

City Councilor Rebecca Lisi told 22News that the council made an amendment to the city ordinance that had previously exempted the mayor’s car.

Unmarked police vehicles are now the only city issued cars not required to have a seal.

Tuesday night’s vote was the latest part of the council’s ongoing effort to update the city car policy after the mayor’s cousin allegedly drove his car drunk.
