Springfield police find bullets lodged into building

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)- Detectives are trying to determine where several gunshots came from that went into a building on Sherman Street early Monday morning.

Captain Harry Kastrinakis of the Springfield Police Department told 22News that their Shotspotter activation system heard six shots in the area just after midnight.

Officers found several bullets had lodged into the side of a building at 151 Sherman Street, and one bullet had gone through a window.

Police are continuing to investigate.
