Pet Corner: Tabatha

Name: Tabatha
Breed: Long hair
Age: 9 years old
Sex: Spayed female

Tabatha is a sweet, friendly, mellow gal who enjoys interacting with people of all ages, especially by settling onto their laps for a nice catnap.  In her previous home, Tabatha lived happily with other cats and enjoyed lounging about and relaxing in sunny spots.

Her beautiful black coat could use a little grooming right now, but the good news is that she loves to be brushed!  Tabatha, at 9 years old, is mature and polite with plenty of life and love left in her.  She won’t need to climb your curtains or scratch your furniture or race around the house making mischief like the kittens we currently have up for adoption at Dakin.

Tabatha is also a Lonely Heart, which means she’s been waiting longer than 3 weeks to find a new family; as an added incentive to move this Lonely Heart into a new home ASAP, you can adopt Tabatha for half the usual adoption fee.

Dakin received a grant from PetSmart Charities to provide FREE spay/neuter surgery for cats whose families live in Holyoke or in the 01108 zip code in Springfield.

Research has shown that a high percentage of unwanted litters in our area come from those zip codes. Offering free spaying and neutering is one way that Dakin is working to curb the homeless cat population and save lives; Dakin also provides low-cost spaying and neutering for pets all over the Pioneer Valley and beyond.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call Dakin’s Community Spay/Neuter Clinic at 413-781-4019.
