HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Patrick Administration has launched a new initiative to help bridge the gap between residents and the people who represent them on Beacon Hill.
The “Partners in Public Service” program held its first event Monday at Holyoke Community College. Civic Engagement Director Elizabeth Cardona told 22News Monday’s forum provided an opportunity for non-profit and community leaders to learn the best strategies to advocate for resources for their organizations.
“While the policy that we’re going to be exploring or working with today is about early education and care, the model is something that can be applied to any policy,” Cardona said.
There are plans to hold another event this fall. That forum will focus on expanding economic growth while maintaining a focus on under-served communities.
