AIC School of Nursing holds graduation

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Dozens of men and women graduated Sunday from the the American International College School of Nursing.

The dozens of graduates continued the time honored nursing school tradition of holding a candle before their ceremonial pinning.

Eric Ruiz of Springfield is proud of overcoming obstacles to his nursing degree.

“Growing up low income, joining the military to be able to pay for college, saw different parts of the world coming home and going to school after getting out of the service,” said Eric Ruiz, Class of 2014.

By late Sunday afternoon, thousands of men and women clutched their diplomas signifying they had successfully completed their years of college at a western Massachusetts campus.
