NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Police say a West Haven man has been injured and another man has died in two shootings in New Haven.
Lamar Swint was injured in his right thigh in the Saturday night shooting. The 26-year-old man told police an unknown man opened his car door and fired one shot.
Swint was treated at Yale-New Haven Hospital for a non-life threatening injury.
About a half-hour later, police responded to reports of gunfire and found Otis Powell who had been shot. He died at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was 44.
No additional details were available Sunday morning.
