Donald Sterling, the owner of the Clippers does not plan to pay his 2.5-million dollar fine from the NBA.

Sterling was hit with the fine and banned for life from the NBA after a recording went public of Sterling allegedly making inflammatory racial comments. Sterling is refusing to pay the fine, saying that he didn’t violate the NBA’s constitution.

22News asked some western Massachusetts basketball fans what they thought.

“Well it doesn’t surprise me, I actually expected it. He is a billionaire. He didn’t get that way by just following the rules and playing easy. He’s not going to go down without a fight. It makes sense,” said Steve Behlke of Southampton.

Sterling says he did not receive due process from the NBA.
