CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Two years ago the City of Springfield implemented a “Special Late Night Entertainment Permit” as part of a crack down on after hours violence.
When the ordinance went into effect, 39 of the 41 applications were rejected. But the number of approvals has increased as establishments worked to meet the permit requirements.
The 22News I-Team staked out the entertainment district on a recent Friday night to see who was in compliance and if the ordinance was being enforced.
See what’s going on after hours in downtown Springfield in the 22News I-Team’s report, Wednesday, May 21, on 22News at 11pm.
