WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP)- Wilbrahaham Firefighters put out an electrical fire at a vacant home on Tinkham Road, Wednesday night.
According to Wilbraham Fire Capt. David Bourcier, the home at 883 Tinkham Road is vacant and is used for different events. It was an old pheasant farm in early 1900s.
Around 6:00 p.m., someone walking past the home saw smoke. Capt. Bourcier said firefighters were able to contain the fire to the outside.
Capt. Bourcier told 22News that the fire was electrical and not suspicious. It was an electrical short of service going into building that caused the fire.
The outside building sustained thousand of dollars worth of damage. Capt. Bourcier said there was no water or smoke damage, and the light smoke inside the building was cleared out.
