CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s not exactly what you would expect in the middle of May here in New England, but with the daytime high temperature at 88 degrees in Chicopee, it felt like summer.
22News found many people playing Ultimate Frisbee in Springfield taking advantage of the warm weather after an unusually cold and snowy winter we just had.
“I love it. It’s summer. It’s good to have 80 degree weather. Ready to play frisbee all summer,” said Kent Larson of Wilbraham.
“Way too much snow this winter, so the first chance we get, we get outside and play some ultimate,” Tim Remgren of Springfield said.
Monday’s high of 88 degrees at Westover Air Reserve Base tied the record high that was set back in 2004.
