Woman charged with stealing $3K from Chipotle

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield woman and former Chipotle manager will be summoned to court for allegedly stealing more than $3,000 from the restaurant.

Hadley Police Officer Mitch Cuc told 22News the woman allegedly stole the money from the Chipotle on Russell Street. Officer Cuc said the woman was a disgruntled employee.

The money was discovered stolen Saturday morning, when another manager opened the safe to get the restaurant’s cash drawers ready.

Hadley Police and the Springfield Police went to the woman’s apartment, where she handed over the bag of money.

The woman wasn’t arrested, but she was charged with felony larceny.
