CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Hundreds of people are walking all night in Chicopee in support of Cancer Patients and their families.
More than 400 people are walking the track at Chicopee Comprehensive High School participating in the American Cancer Society‘s Relay for Life.
Recent high school graduate Timothy O’Grady told 22News his battle with cancer opened his eyes, and changed his life.
“After that I was an honor roll student, I really started taking my studies seriously. It helped me see that life’s short and you really have to make the best of life,” said O’Grady.
22News Storm Team Meteorologist Ashley Baylor hosted Friday night’s event in Chicopee.
28 teams raised nearly $45,000, and will keep walking the track until Saturday morning.
