SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Preparations got underway Friday for the world’s largest pancake breakfast.
At Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, the culinary department was hard at work preparing enough pancake batter to fill 100 five-gallon buckets. This is the seventh year that the batter has been prepared at Mercy’s kitchen.
Ronna Mousette is the food production manager at Mercy Medical Center. She told 22News, “I think it brings everybody together, everybody gets to go downtown, get a good breakfast at an economical price.”
“Here at the mercy our mission is to heal and our passion is to care and this is one of the ways we give back to the community,” Dennis Correa told 22News
The world’s largest pancake breakfast will kick off tomorrow morning at 8am on Main Street in Springfield. Tickets are one dollar for children and three dollars for adults.
