No more victims found in East Longmeadow nursing home

Parkpoom Seesangrit of Great Barrington is seen here during his Palmer District Court arraignment on a rape charge.

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – East Longmeadow Police Sgt. Patrick Manley confirmed to 22News that police have not found any other victims at Skilled Nursing Center or at other nursing homes in East Longmeadow.

24-year-old Parkpoom Seesangrit is a nursing aide at Skilled Nursing Center. He has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested late Tuesday night.

Another nurse found Seesangrit in a female patient’s room, in what police called “inappropriate circumstances.” The nursing home’s policy prohibits male nurses from helping female patients.

Seesangrit denied charges of rape at his arraignment in Palmer District Court on Wednesday.

According to Seesangrit’s defense lawyer, James Gregory, before Skilled Nursing, Seesangrit worked at a nursing home in Great Barrington for about 9 months.

22News called Great Barrington Police to see if they have any open investigations there. Police said as of right now, they do not have any ongoing investigation.

However, the state Department of Public Health has started looking into the allegation at the Skilled Nursing Center.
