ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) – A large amount of child pornography and six unlicensed guns were found by Orange and state police in a search of a man’s home in the eastern Franklin County town, prosecutors say.

Mary Carey of the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office told 22News that David E. Johnstone, 46, was arrested at his Ward Road home around 5:30 Wednesday evening.

According to Carey, town police and troopers assigned to the DA’s office had obtained a warrant to search Johnstone’s home. There, she says they found more than six gigabytes of child pornography, as well as six loaded, unsecured, and unlicensed guns.

Johnstone was taken to the state police barracks in Athol, where he was held on $10,000 cash bail. He will be arraigned Friday in Orange District Court.
