National Drinking Water Week

NORTHAMPTON, Mass (WWLP) – Drinking Water Week has been celebrated by the American Water Works Association for more than 30 years.  The goal is get people to celebrate water.

The non-profit group has been putting out information on the health benefits of drinking water, information about the 1974 Safe Drinking Water Act, information about how vital the water supply is in helping to grow, create, and use other items and information about protecting our water infrastructure.

From May 5th until May 10th people are being encouraged to educate others, and be mindful of the role that water plays in your daily life.
