SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – With the series tied at one game each, the Boston Bruins are making their way to Montreal to face the Canadiens for Game Three of the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

That game will be played Tuesday at 7:00 P.M.

The Bruins and the Canadiens are two of the original six teams that made up National Hockey League; one of the reasons why one hockey fan told 22News this series is a particularly intense one.

“It goes back many, many years, there was a bunch of really good teams and it was always the Bruins and Canadiens forever, going at it, head to head,” Bill Garvey of Springfield said. “Just years of tradition, rivalry and knocking each other out of the playoffs.”

Montreal officials have said that with tensions running so high between the two teams, they will be vigilant to make sure that passion doesn’t get destructive.
