STURBRIDGE, Mass. (WWLP) – A woman from the town of Palmer, 58-year-old Deborah Parker of Park Street, was killed in a head on accident in the town of Sturbridge just after midnight.

The Sturbridge Fire Department provided 22News with a picture of the accident as firefighters tried to free the seriously injured woman from her car, a 2012 Ford Fusion.

She was taken to Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, where she later died.

Sturbridge police Sgt. Kevin Mercier notified 22News that Deborah Parker’s car is believed to have crossed over the center lane on Route 148 and collided with a pickup truck. The people inside the truck, two brothers from the Fiskdale section of Sturbridge, were treated by emergency crews at the crash site, and did not need to be taken to the hospital.

Sgt. Mercier said Parker wasn’t wearing her seat belt.
