HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts honored thirteen extraordinary women Thursday night. The thirteen women were chosen from a pool of fifty nominees.
They come from diverse backgrounds, including education, filmaking, elder care and philanthropy. Nearly 250 people filled the Open Square in Holyoke to recognize capable, powerful women, who contribute to their community.
Any Mitrani, co-chair of 13 Extraordinary Women, told 22News “I think it’s really important that women understand that we all have unique gifts. And that it’s really important that we not be shy about sharing them, because together we can really make some great changes.”
Each of the honorees had a few minutes to share their formulas for success in their personal and professional lives. This is the second time The Jewish Federation has held this event.
