NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (WWLP) – Walk-in care is now available closer to home for people from Northern Berkshire County.
Berkshire Medical Center, which is attempting to buy the bankrupt North Adams Regional Hospital, is opening up a walk-in care center for non-emergency healthcare services at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. It will be located inside the MCLA MountainOne Wellness Center, on the MCLA campus.
The Care Center will be open seven days a week from 10am to 10pm. Berkshire Medical Center Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses will be available for Northern Berkshire residents or visitors 18 and older.
The walk-in center will stay open at least until the opening of the BMC Satellite Emergency Facility at the former North Adams Regional Hospital. That is scheduled to open on or around May 19th.
