(NBC News) Severe weather is once again leaving it’s mark on a large section of the country as a deadly storm system continues its slow march to the Northeast.
First it was the wind. Now it’ the water. Driving rain across the Southeast, in some places more than 20 inches in the last 24 hours, has washed out roadways, swallowed neighborhoods and stretched first responders to their limits.
The flooding comes on what is the fourth day of violent weather that’s left a path of destruction from the Deep South through the Carolinas.
