iPads stolen off counter at Radio Shack, police say

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police have released surveillance images of a man who they say stole two iPads from the Radio Shack store at the Eastfield Mall.

Police Sgt. John Delaney told 22News that the theft happened on March 29. The manager told police that the suspect entered the store, saying that he wanted to purchase two iPads. The clerk put the tablets on the counter, and when the employee was inputting information into the store’s computer, the suspect ran away with the iPads.

The suspect, whose image was captured on surveillance video, is described as an African American man in his mid to late 20’s. If you have any information, you are asked to call Springfield Police Detectives at (413) 787-6355, or you can anonymously text-a-tip.
