CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren took to the national airwaves Sunday to declare her political future.
Warren said in an interview that she will not run for President in 2016. Warren’s name has gotten traction in some national polls, but perhaps more interesting than her announcement that she’s staying a Senator, Warren revealed which Democrat she hopes will run when Barack Obama’s term expires.
“All of the women – Democratic women, I should say, of the Senate urged Hillary Clinton to run. And I hope she does. Hillary is terrific.”
Clinton is widely considered the Democratic frontrunner for her party’s nomination, but she has not said whether she plans to run.
