SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Coming off an overtime loss in game two, the Springfield Falcons were seeking revenge in their AHL playoff hunt.

They took to the ice at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield Saturday night for game three of their series with the Providence Bruins. It was a game that wasn’t decided until the third period when Springfield scored two goals to edge the Bruins by a final score of 3 to 2.

22News caught up with some Falcons fans and asked them why the team is having so much success.

“I think they’ve have good goal tending all season. That’s a big thing. And just having a good structured system is a huge thing as well.” said Tony Basile of Chicopee.

The Falcons lead the series two games to one. They play the Bruins again at home on May 3rd.
