Bakery worker gets arm stuck in dough machine

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield bakery worker was seriously hurt Saturday morning when he got his arm caught in a dough rolling machine.

The San Juan Bakery employee, who was alone at the time, was able to use his cell phone with his other hand to call for help about 5:30AM.

Springfield Fire Department spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News, it took firefighters about 45 minutes to remove the victim’s arm from the machine and only after dismantling the device. Leger described the injury to the young man’s arm as severe. His rescuers took him to Baystate Medical Center.
