SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – Tammy Crochiere of South Hadley gave her Mom Joanna a very special 43rd wedding anniversary present this week: the gift of good health.
Dr. George Lipkowitz had performed the kidney transplant from daughter to mother on Wednesday at Baystate Medical Center.
Tammy told 22News she’s so elated her mother no longer has to be on dialysis to stay alive.
“She gave me life and that’s exactly what I wanted to do for her. Save her’s and give her back life,” said Tammy Crochiere.
“I feel like she’s given me back a part of my life, a huge part of my life, and I just feel great,” said Joanna Crochiere.
