SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce continued its series on how to start and manage your own business.
Tuesday night’s seminar was dedicated to telling hopeful business people how to improve their credit and creating a budget.
All of the students have a dream of owning their own business and this multi-part seminar provides a path.
“The Latino Chamber of Commerce helped us, especially creating our business plan, which is very important, because most of us don’t know even how to start it,” said Maria Isabel Davila.
“By working for yourself you can develop a plan and have something for your children, your family, develop a legacy I guess,” said Henry Wilson of Springfield. “Something you can leave behind for your family.”
Springfield and Holyoke have a high number of small business start-ups because of the high unemployment in the inner cities.
