3 suspects arrested after a disturbance in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Three suspects were arrested on Monday after police received reports of a disturbance involving a handgun on Main Street in Holyoke.

According to Holyoke Police Lt. Jim Albert, on Monday, April 21st, around 1:30 p.m., police responded to a disturbance at 851 Main Street in Holyoke.

Lt. Albert said police later pulled over a car on Temple Street that was reported being at the Main Street location when the disturbance happened.

Three suspects in the car were arrested and a loaded .45 cal Ruger semi-automatic handgun was recovered by police.

The suspects arrested were 18-year-old Kelvin Rodriguez, 39-year-old Daniel Baez-Sierra, and 26-year-old Amanda Bermudez. All three are from Holyoke.

Kelvin Rodriguez will be charged with:

  • Possession Class A
  • Possession to Distribute Class A
  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Carrying/Possession of a Loaded Firearm
  • Possession of Ammo without an FID Card

Daniel Baez-Sierra will be charged with:

  • Possession Class A
  • Possession to Distribute Class A
  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Carrying/Possession of a Loaded Firearm
  • Possession of Ammo without an FID Card
  • Unlicensed Operation of a MV

Amanda Bermudez will be charged with:

  • Possession Class A
  • Possession to Distribute Class A
  • 2 Counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Carrying/Possession of a Loaded Firearm
  • Possession of Ammo without an FID Card
  • Assault & Battery

The three suspects were arraigned in Holyoke District Court.
