Lawyers for Big E, Teddy Bear Pools in talks over lawsuit

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A hearing in the Teddy Bear Pools lawsuit against the Eastern States Exposition is no longer scheduled for Tuesday.

Teddy Bear Pools Attorney Paul Rothschild told 22News the case has been taken off the court list and that lawyers for both sides are having discussions. The lawsuit alleged Big E management excluded Teddy Bear Pools from being an exhibitor at this year’s fair because of owner Ted Hebert’s opposition to the proposed Hard Rock Casino for the exposition grounds.

The hearing had been scheduled for 2pm at Hampden County Superior Court in Springfield.
