Police investigate several break-ins in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police are investigating several house break-in’s that happened within hours of one another.

Suspects broke in to homes on Carew, Brunswick and Middlebrook Streets throughout the day Tuesday. Victims reported various electronics, furnace and a handgun missing.

Springfield residents told 22News they are now extra cautious when they leave their homes.

William Gilmore of Springfield told 22News, “Every night I lock my windows. I make sure the blinds are down and curtains are up, so no one can see in and see what we have.”

Police did not say if the same person or a group of people broke into these houses. Police are investigating these incidents.
