WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Horse shows are among the many events that draw thousands of people to the Eastern States Exposition every year.
With that in mind, on Wednesday morning, the Big E opened an expanded new office dealing with horse shows at the fairgrounds.
Gene Cassidy, President and CEO of the Eastern States Exposition, told 22News that having this new office in the C Barn will help keep the venue a popular place for horse shows.
“It’s facilities like this that help to assure that exhibitors and promoters would be attracted to the Eastern States in the future,” Cassidy said.
Wednesday’s ribbon cutting coincided with the opening of the United Professional Horseman’s Association show; the first horse show at the fairgrounds this season.
