CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It may be spring, but its feeling a lot like winter. Temperatures fell into the 20’s overnight as snow and sleet fell into the early morning throughout western Massachusetts, causing people to have to brush off and scrape their vehicles, and take a little extra care on the roadways.
The snow fell starting around 11:00 P.M. in the Pioneer Valley, and continued into the early morning hours, leaving behind anywhere from 3.5″ in West Orange to a coating in the lower Valley.
The snow, in addition to all the rain that we received during the day on Tuesday, caused the National Weather service to issue a Flood Warning for the Connecticut River in Northampton, Montague, and just over the state line in Thompsonville, Connecticut.
