CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Easter dinner for the needy is a priority among food pantries here in western Massachusetts.
Lorraines Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry in Chicopee was busy Wednesday filling the food baskets for their hundreds of clients. Those are in addition to the 130 hams the Chicopee Rotary Club will distribute later this week. The holiday gift giving staging area will again be the garage at our 22News Broadcast Center.
Lorraine’s Food Pantry client Darlene Harris told 22News that Lorraine’s treats her right.
“Every time I come here, they take care of all my needs. It’s a great kitchen,” Harris said.
But Lorraine’s kitchen needs more volunteers to provide the food for its clients. If you would like information about volunteering or donating, visit lorrainessoupkitchen.com.
