ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) – A Colorado man was arraigned in Franklin Superior Court on charges of allegedly having an online relationship with a 12-year-old girl from Orange.
According to Mary Carey of the Northwestern DA’s office, 23-year-old Daniel Gordon of Colorado Springs was charged on Monday with Enticement of a Child Under Age 16, 2 counts of Disseminating Obscene Matter to a Minor, and 3 counts of Posing a Child in the Nude.
Following an investigation by Orange Police, Mass. State Police, and the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, police discovered that Gordon had met the victim online playing the video game “Maginobi,” a multi-player online role-playing game.
Carey said the child had originally told Gordon that she was 17-years-old, but she later told him that she was 12. Gordon then allegedly sent her photos of his private parts and request that she send nude photos to him.
Gordon was released from prison however he must stay away and have no contact with the victim, contact the Franklin Superior Court Probation Department 1 time per week, and submit to a booking procedure at the State Police barracks.
The case is due back in court in September for a pre-trial hearing.
