BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Bridgeport police are investigating what could be the city’s second homicide of the year.
Authorities say a 35-year-old man died at a hospital Wednesday night after being found lying on a street in the city’s Black Rock section with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Officials are determining whether it was a homicide.
Police are withholding the man’s name until after they notify his family.
A neighborhood resident told the Connecticut Post that he and two other people noticed the victim lying in the street at about 9:30 p.m. and called police.
Authorities haven’t released information about suspects or a motive.
