A craft fair for a cause

You can join more than 25 artists and crafters this weekend at a fair and it’s all to benefit a good cause.  Kathleen Duquette, Pat Pupek and Michelle DeChristopher told us about a benefit the Springfield Out of Darkness Walk for the American Foundation.

About the Event:
A craft and vendor fair will take place on Sunday, April 13th, from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the John Boyle O’Reilly Club, located at 33 Progress Ave in Springfield, MA 01104. Admission is FREE and open to the general public. All proceeds from table rentals and raffle tickets will benefit the Springfield Out of Darkness Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, (AFSP), Western Mass Chapter.

The event will feature more than 25 local artisans, crafters and direct sales representatives and over 35 raffle prizes. Jewelry, artwork, specialty food items, bags, candles, vintage items, magic tricks, scarves, and beauty products will be available for purchase. Raffle tickets are available to win the 35+ various prizes.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the nation’s leading organization bringing together people across communities and backgrounds to understand and prevent suicide, and to help heal the pain it causes. AFSP’s purpose is to focus on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivery of innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
