Rescued eaglet flies free

(WBBH) An eaglet is back in it’s nest after falling out Monday night.

It happened near the BMX Park in Cape Coral, Florida.

A neighbor noticed the helpless bird on the ground all alone. On Wednesday, members with the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife rescued and reunited it with it’s sibling and parents.

The eagle rescue was a tense situation, not only for the people on the ground, but for the eaglet’s parents because no one knew how they would react.

“When you are holding it in your hands and you look down at that perfect pattern or the perfect way all the feathers are laying, it’s like you’re holding a picture that has come to life in your hands,” said Michael Orchin, who rescued the eaglet.
