Water to be shut off in a section of Palmer


PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – Customers of the Thorndike Water District in the Town of Palmer are being advised that on Thursday, April 10th, water will be shut off on several streets during the day.

The following streets will be affected Thursday from approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm:

  • Center Street
  • Commercial Street
  • Flynt Street
  • Gay Street
  • Harvey Street
  • High Street
  • Main Street
  • Michael Drive
  • River Street
  • School Street
  • Vicardav Avenue
  • Ware Street
  • Waverly Street

If you are a customer of the Thorndike Water District and you live on one of the streets listed above, you will have no water between 9 am and 5 pm.

According to the Palmer Police Chief Robert P. Frydryk, this disruption in service is necessary to perform repair work to the water system.
