Monson Savings Bank helps families improve finances

MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – Monson Savings Bank is trying to help people take control of their financial lives.

Some 40 to 50 people met at Ware Middle school Wednesday night to hear about Monson Savings Bank’s partnership with

MassSaves provides one-on-one financial advice online and over the phone. The goal helps families improve their financial well-being by finding ways to save money and create wealth.

Steve Lowell, President of the Monson Savings Bank, told 22News, “what we’re trying to do is make sure that people who are having a tough time, break out of that cycle of debt, and start creating wealth and creating better lives for themselves.”

The partnership will provide private and confidential coaching both online and on the telephone. They’ll determine ways to save for college or buying a home.
