2 wounded in Springfield stabbing

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two men are recovering in the hospital after being stabbed during a robbery in Springfield’s Old Hill neighborhood just after midnight Wednesday.

Lt. Thomas Maccini told 22News that the robbery happened at Hancock and Union Streets, and a fight ensued, during which time the victims were stabbed.

The suspect is described as a black man who was riding a bicycle.

Both men were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
