PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) – The town of Plymouth is paying its final respects to a veteran police officer killed in the line of duty.
A wake for Officer Gregg Maloney is scheduled to take place Monday at Memorial Hall. Public viewing hours are 4 p.m., to 8 p.m., following a private viewing for family and a walkthrough for law enforcement.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday morning at St. Peter Church.
The 43-year-old Maloney died in an on-duty motorcycle accident on April 1. The cause remains under investigation, but investigators have said no other vehicles were involved.
The 17-year veteran was married with two teenage sons.
